Laura Morrison
Top hobbies (other than paddling of course!): writing,
photography, rock-climbing and traveling! Paddling is great
because it can be done solitary or with companions. It can
be for fun or as a way to challenge yourself with new
skills. An all-rounder I'd say! Favorite spot to paddle at
the moment is the French river but I hope to be able to list
the Great North in the (near?) future! |

Melanie Buckle

paddling magazines such as North America's "Sea Kayaker".
Most importantly, she is one of the great canoe & kayak
instructors down at the Centre!

Hobbies: Soccer, running, gym and travel – have paddled
extensively in British Columbia in addition to trips to
Australia, New Zealand, Belize, Florida, Honduras, Nova
Scotia. What I like about paddling is learning new skills,
having new experiences, seeing new places, pushing my
boundaries, being on the water, and sharing all this with my
friends and family. My favourite place to paddle is Gwaii
Haanas in BC’s Queen Charlotte Islands – it’s a magical
place to paddle. |
